WeatherBug Mobile Lightning Widget for Developers Debuts

Just in time for severe weather season, we’re debuting our WeatherBug Spark™ HTML5 Mobile Lightning Widget for developers. Our new widget — powered by real-time lightning data from the Earth Networks Total Lightning Network™ — is the only mobile developer tool that reports the nearest lightning strike, minute-by-minute and mile-by-mile, based on a user’s GPS location on their smartphone.

We’ve designed our widget for easy and quick integration into existing apps. The widget is available at no cost to mobile app developers — making it possible to offer additional and potentially life-saving features to mobile apps aimed at mobile users who love spending time outside watching their kids play soccer, hiking, cycling, running, or just lounging poolside.

Developers can learn more and integrate Spark Lightning by registering at http://weather.weatherbug.com/spark-alert/spark-develop.html or emailing marketing@earthnetworks.com.
